If they were to prevail, that would be the end of our democracy. They would have to have the army take their side and defend them. Otherwise, the capital would be a war zone like it is in a lot of these third world countries.
And then what? We have a military dictatorship. What’s so good about that? How would the proud boys handle the minorities? Probably no different than the way Xi Jinping handles his minorities (the Uyghurs) He sends them to a Gulag for what he calls re-education.
Joseph Stalin the leader of the communist party from 1917-1953 referred to his Gulag as a place for “the cleansing of the soul.”
